According to a Mehr reporter, Mortaza Shokouhi, on Sunday evening, on the sidelines of visiting the tourist village of Shaneh Tarash, stated that the implementation of these projects will play an important role in the economic prosperity and tourism of the region. He added, ‘With the operationalization of these 8 ecotourism units, employment and sustainable development will be provided in the region, and Shaneh Tarash can become one of the tourism hubs of the county.’
He also pointed to his visit to the Shaneh Tarash Ethnographic Museum, saying, ‘Unfortunately, this museum is not in a suitable condition and requires serious attention and renovation. This year, 200 million Tomans have been allocated for essential renovations to the museum building, with the participation of the district administration and the district council.
Shokouhi announced the allocation of 850 million Tomans in next year’s planning committee for this museum, emphasizing, ‘We are trying to secure this funding so that we can witness an improvement in the condition of this cultural site. Furthermore, pursuing national funding from the county and provincial cultural heritage departments is necessary.’
The Governor of Tonekabon emphasized the cultural importance of this museum, stating, ‘The ethnographic museum should reflect the culture and lifestyle of the people of the Do-Hezar region. The cultural and historical capacities of this region, especially in showcasing the indigenous life, can turn into one of the prominent tourist attractions.’
Shokouhi concluded by noting, ‘The Tonekabon Governorate and the Cultural Heritage Department will pursue this matter with special attention, and God willing, Shaneh Tarash village will be introduced as one of the important tourist destinations in the province.
