Simultaneously with the launch of the dedicated Shaneh Tarash website as part of the national 'One Village, One Website' plan, in the online webinar, officials from the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Interior, and experts in the field of rural tourism emphasized the development of infrastructure, branding, and the digital presence of this village.
Tonekabon - IRNA - Although rural development must be based on local assets and the protection of the culture, nature, and social fabric of the village, one cannot overlook the residents' need for modern welfare infrastructure, including roads and energy. The combination of these two components—development based on culture and access to standard infrastructure—is the right path to achieving sustainable development in a rural community; a model whose successful example can be seen in Shaneh Tarash, Tonekabon.
Tonekabon - IRNA - The long-standing tradition of Mazandaran women standing alongside men in production and economic fields has now found a modern manifestation in the village of 'Shaneh Tarash' in Tonekabon. The Shaneh Tarash women, through direct management in handicrafts, eco-tourism, and social creativity, have become the driving force behind this village’s move toward being registered on the list of global villages by the World Tourism Organization.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Mazandaran said: The anthropology museum of Shaneh Tarash village in Tonekabon is being standardized in order to better preserve and introduce the cultural heritage and local identity of this village.
