According to Fars News Agency from Tonekabon: In line with the development of regenerative tourism and the protection of Hyrcanian forests, as well as supporting the global tourism registration of Shaneh Tarash village in Tonekabon, the “Every Tree, One Narrative” project has been launched in Chalderreh with the collaboration of the Tonekabon Administration of Natural Resources and Watershed Management, the General Administration of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, and the Chalderreh Tourism Sample Area, in the presence of foreign journalists and travel bloggers.
In this project, tourists and nature lovers can participate in planting valuable Hyrcanian tree species, register their names on the identification certificate of each tree, and contribute to the protection of this natural heritage. The yew tree (Taxus baccata) is one of the oldest and most valuable species of the Hyrcanian forests, playing a crucial role in preserving biodiversity and the sustainability of forest ecosystems.
The Chalderreh Tourism Sample Area, as the supporter and implementer of this project, has begun its execution in the areas of Chalderreh and Shaneh Tarash village. The selection of Shaneh Tarash village is due to the years of valuable cooperation and participation of its residents in protecting the forest areas of the region.
As part of this program, a dedicated identification certificate is prepared for each tree. Through landscaping, installation of informational elements, and lighting, the narrative of “Every Tree, One Story” is being created for the first time in Chalderreh and Shaneh Tarash village.
Registering tourists’ names on the trees, in addition to creating a sense of belonging to nature, provides a basis for greater participation in the protection of Hyrcanian forests. This project is considered an example of cooperation between the private sector and government agencies on the path of regenerative tourism development and the protection of the region’s natural assets.
Shaneh Tarash village is one of the valuable destinations for rural tourism and ecotourism in western Mazandaran. With its pristine nature, traditional fabric, local customs, and growing capacities in the field of ecotourism, it can become one of the prominent points in the province’s destination branding. In this regard, a media tour was organized with the participation of digital creators, travel influencers, journalists, and representatives of some foreign media outlets to introduce this village more professionally to target tourism markets.
