The installation of bilingual Persian-English information signs in the village

In line with improving tourism information infrastructure, the installation of bilingual Persian-English information signs was carried out throughout the village.

The installation of information signs was implemented based on previous studies and plans, and in line with the initial designs that had been developed in the village by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) using an approach centered on local materials and handwritten tourism information boards, with the aim of strengthening, completing, and integrating the village’s visual identity. At this stage, given the need to harmonize the tourism information infrastructure, the number of signs has been increased and they have been developed using the same design language and local materials as before, so as to preserve and enhance the visual and identity coherence of the village—coherence that has been shaped over the years through tourism promotions and destination branding.

The new signs, in addition to continuing the previous design language, include introductions to natural and cultural attractions, access routes, a village tourism map, and cultural and environmental messages. They have been designed in both Persian and English to facilitate access to information for international tourists and to enhance the visitor experience in an integrated and standardized manner.

Furthermore, in this process, the participation of the local community in preserving, developing, and completing this design language has been emphasized—an approach that contributes to making tourism tours experience-based, strengthening the residents’ sense of belonging, and enhancing their role in narrating and introducing the village through community-based storytelling. Ultimately, this leads to the coherence of the village’s tourism brand and the sustainability of its visual identity.
